Werner Drexler (July 19, 1928 – November 28, 2023) was a German composer, arranger and orchestra leader known for his contributions to film music, jazz, and easy listening.
Born in Nuremberg, Drexler developed a passion for music at an early age. He became a talented pianist and arranger, working in various musical genres, including jazz and pop. During the 1960s and 1970s, he composed music for numerous German films and television productions, often blending orchestral sounds with contemporary jazz influences.
One of his most recognized works was his involvement in library music, creating instrumental tracks used in various media productions. He also worked with renowned musicians and contributed to the easy listening and lounge music scene, a style that gained popularity in Germany and beyond.
