DANNY MALANDO (1967)

Danny Malando (born April 18, 1967) is a Dutch orchestra leader and musician, best known for continuing the legacy of the famous Malando Orchestra, founded by his grandfather, Arie Maasland, in 1939. The orchestra gained international recognition for its passionate tango music, including the iconic piece Olé Guapa.

Danny took over leadership of the orchestra in the 1990s, bringing a fresh and dynamic approach while staying true to its rich tradition. Under his direction, the Malando Orchestra has expanded its repertoire, blending classical tango with elements of classical music, waltzes, and film scores.
